House District 61: the seat, the record and the 2022 archive
House District 61 is one of the South Carolina House seats Horry County voters help fill, and it appears on the county's schedule for the November 3, 2026 general election. The House member elected there votes on state law in Columbia, including the statutes that govern county government.

Voteforjohncassidy.com launched in 2022 as the campaign website for John Cassidy, a Republican candidate for S.C. House District 61, who was also known locally through Duplicates INK in Conway. Mr. Cassidy is not a current candidate as far as any public filing we've seen shows, and this site does not campaign for him.
Any material from that campaign we republish will be labeled as archival, dated 2022, and kept separate from current reporting. Old campaign positions aren't current policy proposals.
